LUXWT Prime Review
By Emily Eisenberg
Well I have certainly been spoiled now. Staying at the Little Nell was beyond a luxurious experience.
Nestled at the foothill of Aspen Mountain, the hotel is situated in an unbeatable location with breathtaking views of the mountainous landscape. Although the outward views are unbeatable, the decorative detail within the hotel is immaculate. The cozy atmosphere makes you immediately feel like you are in the comfort of your own home, or a home you wish was yours!
What made the stay even more exceptional was the attentive staff that felt more like old friends with their warm and genuine care. They were proactive with every need, with no detail missed from warming up our towels and robes, to whipping up some delicious hot chocolate for a mid-night snack.
This amazing hotel has a separate gourmet pet menu! They also supply dog beds and can plan a stay around pet-friendly activities! This takes dog friendly to the next level!
At this boutique hotel it is not only the human guests that are treated with the best service, its man’s best friend as well! While having a snack in the lobby I noticed a waiter bring over a plate of food, and then put it down for a dog. I then noticed most of the tables around me had dogs with their own dishes sitting alongside their owners. It turns out the Little
The exceptional service is no secret about The Little Nell. However, I was lucky enough to be let in on their best kept secret, the “invite only’ wine cellar tasting room! It’s home to about 20,000 bottles of the finest wine from around the world, some that share a price tag on par with a car! I soaked up every descriptive detail our incredibly knowledgeable master Sommelier explained in hopes of expanding my wine knowledge beyond what the movie “Sideways” had previously taught me. With fun sing-along music playing, delicious fine cheeses laid out, and every sip of wine tasting better than the next, this was an experience I felt lucky to partake in.
Although I could wine and dine all day, I made sure to take advantage of what nature had to offer as well! Most people visit Aspen in the winter for the ski season, however, the summer and fall are my favorite time to be in Aspen because the hiking is incredible! With the help of the concierge, we were able to plan out the best hikes for the weekend and the Little Nell even provided transportation to and from! The must do trail is Maroon Bells, where entire time we felt like we were walking through a postcard. The colors and contrast of the Aspen trees on the crystal blue water and the snowcapped mountains was breathtaking. We also took a ride up the Gondola, which were only a few footsteps from the hotel. It goes to the top of Aspen Mountain where you get an aerial view of Aspen Village and the views of all the surrounding mountains. Needless to say, it was gorgeous and very worthwhile.
It will be hard going to the mountains and not staying at The Little Nell every time. As I said before, I have now been spoiled!
